Leading oral care brand, Close up toothpaste,
set Eke Awka Market agog to appreciate its distributors’ efforts in the South
East Area with presentation of prizes, including a brand new car to over 50
winners in its ‘Buy, Display and Win Promo’ on September 19, 2013.
The promo, targeted at distributors,
kicked-off in May 2013 across the country and is now rewarding those who
prominently displayed the Close up toothpaste tubes, sachets by using it to
brand their stores during the promo period. Eight brand new Hyundai i10 cars
are up for grabs, amongst other prizes including Deep Freezers, Generator sets,
Fridges, Television sets, Water Purifiers, Blenders, Steam Irons and DVD
players.
Speaking during the prize presentation,
Unilever’s Field Sales Manager, Awka said, “You can see that we keep it real at
Unilever in everything we do. We have presented the prizes including the car
and its keys to the winners which reflect in the way we keep our brand
promises. We are delighted to do this as it affords a chance to appreciate the
efforts of our distributors from who we constantly receive massive support.”
Reacting with excitement on being presented
with his prize, Friday Igwe winner of the grand prize of a brand new Hyundai
i10, said “I have won several prizes from Unilever before which reinforced my
belief that this promo was real. I took it seriously from the outset and
strategized to win the top prize which I am very happy to have received today.
I am grateful to Unilever for making my dream come true. I also appreciate the
efforts of my bankers, friends and family that made the winning of this prize
possible.”
Speaking in like manner, another winner,
Fidelis Iboko who won a giant deep freezer commended Unilever for the quality
of their products and transparency, which according to him “have encouraged me
to remain a dedicated distributor because I know that Unilever will acknowledge
and encourage its distributors.”
Brand Manager, Close Up, Dexter Adeola, while
responding to feedback from the distributors, said that Close Up will continue
to delight them and Nigerians in general. “We believe in rewarding loyalty, and
these distributors have proven that. Some of their shops were completely
branded that it was hard to tell if it was a Unilever shop or not. We promise
Nigerians quality products and will continue to reward and improve lives.”
Nigerians have declared Close Up
as the most loved toothpaste brand as buttressed during a recent poll that won
the brand the Award as the ‘Coolest Toothpaste Brand’ at the last edition of
the Generation Next Survey Awards. Its different gel variants attend to the
needs of its various customers.
