number one mobile money service provider,
Paga to delight its over 16 million subscribers with easy payment
options through its innovative Etisalat Easy Wallet service.

Business Segment at Etisalat Nigeria, Lucas Dada, described the partnership as
another opportunity to deliver value added services to subscribers on the
Etisalat network. “As the fastest growing telecommunications operator in
Nigeria, we pride ourselves on recognizing and partnering with other innovative
companies to the benefit of our subscribers. Paga has demonstrated the ability
to deliver innovative solutions and we are excited to welcome them onto our
platform and offer our customers more reasons to use Etisalat,” he said.
According to
him, the partnership will provide Etisalat’s customers with the option of using
Paga to send and receive money for various amounts, ranging from as low as N500
to as high as N100,000, pay bills, pay for goods or services (shopping) and buy
airtime through easywallet.
In the same
vein, Founder/CEO at Paga, Tayo Oviosu in welcoming the partnership said the
relationship builds on Paga’s goal to bring more convenient ways for people to
access cash anytime, anywhere, irrespective of whether they have or do not have
a bank account. “With this partnership, people can access their Paga accounts
right from their Etisalat SIM cards. For instance, one can from the convenience
of one’s home get rid of that annoying DStv E16 message by paying with one’s
Paga account using one’s Etisalat SIM and have one’s television turned on
immediately. We are excited to work with Etisalat and look forward to growing
our partnership,” Oviosu said.
With this partnership, Etisalat
customers can access Paga services for different transactions such as money
transfers, buying PHCN credit as well as paying other bills through easywallet
. This is the first of many innovations Paga will be announcing with Etisalat.
